Aviva Auto Insurance Reviews

We were with Aviva Insurance for about 2 years and then this past summer when my daughter had a car accident, and we had to deal with the insurance company for our claim it was not a good experience.
Until now, 3 months later they did not contact the witness who saw the accident my daughter had to verify her version of what happened. If they did they would have realized it was not her fault, instead up until now on her file it shows that she was at fault and so we had to pay more for our insurance.
As well I contacted them like 4-5 times to get a new quote for our other car that we had to buy so we could get the insurance set up to pick up the car (as we were without a car for about 2 weeks) but after being on hold for a total of about 5-6 hours and constantly being hung up on, we left them and went to another company for our new insurance. The list goes on about our unhappiness with this insurance company and we would NEVER go back to them.

My motor home was hit in April 2020. It is July 2020 and Aviva still cannot get it together with the other insurance provider. I provided a letter from the other insurance company saying it was their customer's 100 percent fault. Now Aviva wants me to see a notary at my cost to get documents signed. They have been awful to deal with. I am cancelling my insurance after 7 years and I have contacted a lawyer to all with Aviva. It’s taken up to much of my time for an accident that was not my fault!

Every month they deduct payment from account very fast no questions ask! But whenever you have claim it took ages! This is my last year for you guys...

Aviva uses delay and escapes tactics to get out of paying you. They request a phenomenal amount of doctor's notes and Medical documentation. If you try to go it on your own then forget about it, they will make you feel crazy and dismiss you. You NEED a lawyer to back you up if you want them to treat you half fairly. Even then the lawyer's aid will have a hard time getting them to pick up the phone and even the lawyer will have troubles. They will wait the full 30 days to pay you OR present you with a request for FURTHER documentation and make you wait for another 30 days and THEN once you sent it in they will legally have another 30 days to acknowledge that they received the paperwork. Get a good lawyer if you want your entitled benefit money, whether you are a customer or a victim of one of their customers and you have no insurance.

I have been with aviva for about 5 years. This is the first time ever I got into an accident and they treated me very badly. Customer service is just horrible. Some of the employees should be in FBI the way they ask questions. I wasn’t even at fault and my belongings got damaged and of course insurance has to pay for the damages. But they asked me 10 times how this and that happened, sent all the proofs but still they were not satisfied, and they were acting like a cry baby and were dying to pay the damages around $700. I mean we pay high-end insurance not for you guys to ask these nonsense questions. Employees act like they own this company, and they have to pay outta their pockets. 4 members of my family have insurance with this company, and we all will take our business somewhere else. Will never ever recommend anyone to go with this insurance.
Moreover, they don’t even care about the reviews, as I read people aren’t satisfied with the services provided by them.

1st not my fault but took way too long to settle and was told outcome would come in a week. 3 months+ later. Now waiting on another claim and they cannot be found. Horrible service for the money spent. My brokers are doing the best they can, but this company is terrible, and I agree with the warning of others recommending going else where. Anywhere for that matter than Aviva. Take a chance with that dodgy company from India before trusting these folks. More or less at least some factors in play.

I have been disgusted by Aviva, there staff are ignorant and abusive and the simply fail to respond to claims in a reasonable time frame.
I had a vehcile accident on the 6th of October 2023, I filed a claim on the 20th of October 2023... it is now almost 6 months later on the 28th of March 2024 and the ignorant and incompentant staff will simple not respond to a request for an update.
I have send over 20 emails on an almost weekly basis and every single email is ignored.
These people are horrible, ignorant, rude and simply people who go about their lives punishing others and blaming others for their own unhappiness.
DO NOT PURCHASE AVIVA CAR INSURANCE - THEY IGNORE CLAIMS.

Aviva is a horrible company to deal with. Extremely slow at settling claims, unfair and unethical appraisal values. What an awful company to have to deal with.

NEVER AGAIN

Still no settlement. It's been 210 days since accident. Unbelievable.
Voice-mail, email no response. No one at aviva seems to care.
