Credit card fraud

On July 18 I was defrauded for 8240 $ for Airline Tickets Air Arabia. Called customer service informed immediately they assigned a case number and sent me a new card. They did not reverse the amount and I am being charged illegal interest. Called them several times and emailed them no response. I told them a police report was being filed (I Spoke with an Indian Lady Siram) after 20 days they asked me for a copy of the police report to start an investigation... I responded as soon as I had the fraudulent amounts reversed. I will provide the report. Canadian anti-fraud agency was contacted also. I put a Fraud alert on my Trans Union credit report.
My Credit score of 822 has gone down to 755 because of the Neo amount.

On the same day of Neo Fraud, I was also defrauded by the same people for another Mastercard 4200 $ which in 72 hours was reversed.
So after 56 days no action not even an e-mail from them about the status…
I was advised to take legal action and contact CBC Live…

3 unauthorized charges to the card between 4 and 5 am. I canceled 3rd charge with the app. In 3 hours phone to confirm charge reversal. Was informed that charges will not be reversed until the "investigation" was complete. The "vendor" to where the payment went was in Dubai.....I was in Canada. Think okay it is a process and it will be sorted very soon. Two weeks later get a bill.... still 3 charges totaling 400$ worth of car rental charges in Dubai. Call again... I am informed the vendor is allowed 45 days to respond. I was reminded that full payment is due in 10 days and missing a payment will damage my credit score.....reminded of that 3 or 4 times during the call. I look closer at the agreement/contract. Neo "alludes" to you being "fully protected from fraudulent charges". If your read a little further down there is a clearly written clause that states you are responsible for all charges applied to your card fraudulent or not.
- This lesson cost me 400$.....it could have just as easily been for 4,000$ or worse the card max
- IMO their system is hacked and my info was plucked from the system with 2 small charges applied in the hopes I would not notice
45 days for an investigation involving charges from 11,000 km away would seem to be a pretty slam-dunk investigation. I have had other fraudulent charges to credit cards before.....they were reversed before I hung up the phone. So I pay and the best case scenario is someone uses my money for 45 days, or longer, for free and I get it back..... or, and IMO the most likely, I don't get it back and I am forced to pay.
So 400$ is a lesson learned from a scammy "crypto card" with a good PR department.
