I don't recommend anyone dealing with this company I've been off of work for six months now and got a update today that it will be another 90 days because they need to review all off my info I'm very frustrated.

We used a local mortgage broker that presented us with two options when we were looking for a $450K mortgage for an investment property we bought in B.C. The property's sale price was $650K. First National offered us the better rate but were only willing to give us $415K, We decided to go with First National and pay the difference to get the lower rate. Big mistake. We have been jumping through hoops ever since even though First National gave us approval a few weeks ago (conditional only to a satisfactory appraisal). We close at the end of the month and they continue to play games. They keep requesting credit card statements and have threatened to alter the amount of the mortgage down to $402K if we didn't pay $1800 on a certain credit card that was on a no-interest payment plan for the next 2 years for a purchase we haven't even had delivered yet.
I would not recommend First National to anyone looking for a mortgage. They are pirates and game players right to the bitter end.
