I had a claim last year, someone hit my rear bumper and I called insurance for reporting the accident, it took me an hour to lift my call and it's my first accident, I am not much aware. I ended up calling so many times and every time I call I had to wait for minimum 1 and a half hour to know next step and after so many follow-ups it took more than 1 month to fix and the guys on customer service are so rude. Literally, service sucks and this is a very small one, there are so many other reasons. In the future, I would prefer to rent a car or drive without insurance rather than having TD Insurance. I wish to select 0 stars.
I insured 2 motorcycles for a year, one bike never even turned a wheel last summer. My policy expired in March of 2018. I never bothered to renew the policy as I sold one and the other is still in my shop and covered by my home insurance. They sent me a registered letter 6 months after the policy expired saying they were going to cancel the policy if I didn't pay to renew it. Everyone knows that if I had a claim in that 6 months, they would have denied it due to non-payment! The guy I spoke to said he wasn't going to argue with me about whether I owed them money or not. Now since then, they have sent it to a collection company which will affect my credit score. Unbelievable!! They get a 0.0 rating from me!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I was t-boned on highway August 9-2015. The driver who caused the accident was convicted and charged but TD insurance failed to look after my injuries for past 3 years I have been in and out of hospital with many surgeries with TD insurance refusing to pay my medical and medications
I recently sold my vehicle and cancelled my insurance. I was told it took 3 business days to be given a refund back to my credit card. After 3 weeks, I called to advise and they said: "oh it will be there either Monday or Friday". Now it's been over a month and still no refund!! This is MY money and with this day and age of computers, the fact that they take 6-8 weeks is utterly pathetic!! Also the fact that the girl told me 3 days is a lie. Then in order to follow up with someone, you have to wait on the phone for 30-60 minutes. BE PREPARED TO WAIT SHOULD YOU EVER EXPECT A REFUND. FUNNY THING IS IT TAKES THEM 30 SECONDS TO TAKE MONEY FROM YOU!!!
Bad services. Bad customer service and expensive. Go elsewhere cheaper and with better honest customer services such as Belaire or State Farm.
Called 3 times attempting to buy insurance, each time was told my quote needed to be approved by upper management. I was told each time I’d receive “an email,” “a call in 30 minutes,” and “an email in 3-5 days” once management had looked it over. I didn’t receive any of the 3. Each time I called back and had to answer all the same questions, taking 50 minutes on all three calls. If it’s this difficult to PURCHASE insurance, I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to make a CLAIM. I hung up and called a different provider and had insurance in one hour.
Create trouble for anything you want to do with them, even for simple cancellation. Not recommending anyone to go with them.
I have waited on hold for 45 minutes twice and still have not been able to make my claim. This is my Third call and I've been on hold now for 21 minutes and counting. This is crazy!
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
My auto insurance renewal was before I changed the car. Customer care gave me quote but the time of renewal premium was upside down. Customer representative did not act in a professional manner. Coughing on phone very loudly and interrupting my conversation. Finally, I ended the call hanging up on her.
Terrible customer service. Spent countless hours on the phone each time talking with a different rep. Went over the same information at least seven times. Had I known this earlier, I would not have bothered to go with TD. I have never been treated so badly by other insurance companies in 50 years. Will definitely switch to other companies when it is due.
