On June 13th we purchased a new 2020 Denali XL. While driving to the registry from the dealership we were hit by the hail storm and the vehicle was destroyed. Hail went through the roof, broke every panel on the vehicle and the windows were shattered. After filing a claim with TD Insurance the vehicle sat at the dealership for almost a month waiting to be towed to an adjuster. A month into the claim and the vehicle is still sitting at a scrap yard with no plan of how to move forward, all while we are paying for a rental. Our adjuster won’t return calls or emails. I would caution anyone to choose TD insurance. We choose TD because of the professional/alumni incentives, but no amount of savings will ever recover the cost of this experience.
On the 17th of January 2020, I was involved in an accident. I was not at fault. And the at-fault party also uses TD Insurance. This meant I got the opportunity of experiencing TD Insurance from vehicle replacement to accident benefits to a body injury settlement. The staff were extremely excellent and fair. I got excellent amount for my car and I was able to buy a far better car with the funds given to me by TD Insurance. I enjoyed massages (physiotherapy) and psychotherapy sessions based on accident benefits. All the staff explained the entire process to me. The lady (adjuster) for the accident benefit was so kind and helped me through the shock of the Coronavirus period. I got constant checkup calls from the adjuster for the settlement. I got frequent letters from TD Insurance informing of changes in the process. This staff work across Canada and yet it feels as though live beside each other. You can feel the oneness of purpose and unity and service excellence from all of them. I am grateful and I am happy to be insured by TD Insurance. I was so encouraged that I improved my insurance policy to two insurance. The settlement was great. I highly strongly recommend TD Insurance. They are stable safe and secure. You are simply the BEST.

I've been trying to contact them for days, on hold many hours each day on hold in line on the phone, that repeating song...waiting....for a customer service representative. No luck yet. Why don't they offer call back? They need more customer service representatives... What kind of business is this? I called other big insurance companies just to see how long it took to get through pretending to have an existing policy with them, and no problem talking a representative. Been with them over 20 years. I think its time to dump them!
It is horrible customer service. You can't get anyone on the phone. I was just trying to change my auto policy. Couldn't do it online because apparently there was a problem with my login. So I called. Day one - on hold 6 hours, day 2 - on hold 5 hours, day 3 - still on hold, I emailed Facebook message I have been trying everything. No one wants to answer the phone. Perhaps there should be more staff hired to work from home or give away to change your login without calling. Or just answer the phone.
My husband wanted to add my car to his insurance policy. We called in and got a quote. We called back 2 days later to finalize things and the customer service representative was so disrespectful. We asked if the quotation can be reviewed as it was too high and we were prepared to increase our deductible. She just wouldn't listen, kept talking over you and wasn't helpful at all. We are definitely in the market for a new insurance provider.
I have multiple vehicles and a house insured with TD insurance and have been with them for many years but every single time I need to reach them I have to wait on hold for at least 2 hours and since COVID-19, at least 4-5 hours!!! My son just got his first car and had to wait 5 hours three months ago. As I type this review, I’ve been waiting for 4 hours because I am trading in one of our cars for another car and need to advise TD. This is absolutely unacceptable. Why do other companies offer a call-back solution instead of holding their customers on the line for hours and hours? The rest is good once you speak to someone but the waiting is terribly draining and very disappointing!
I have been insured with TD for years but now I’m battling with the scamming ways that they try to say I have included windshield insurance on my Jeep, a brick fireplace in my home. I have never included windshield and I don’t have a brick fireplace. I have been charged for both for 7 years plus. My policy never included my common law but I also was paying for that through monthly withdrawals. None of this has been resolved, I’m always told try will get back me!
I wanted to add a second car into my policy, I dialled and was put on hold for around 2 hours, then I decided to hang off without success to have insurance on my car. The next call that I will do is to cancel my policies. It is a waste of time and energy been treated like they do not care about customer service.
Absolutely ridiculous... I have been on hold for over 2 hours listening to music on two different lines and can not get anyone to speak to. How do these guys stay in business?
I had to make some changes to my policy and was on hold for 1 Hour and 41 Minutes. I thought that was bad but they reached a new low today. I bought a new car and had to get insurance so I phoned for the immediate service and have now as I am typing this been on hold for 2 HOURS 48 MINUTES AND STILL NO HELP!!! I went online and tried doing the changes but it takes them two days. I am cancelling my insurance with them because of this inferior service. I have no complaint with their prices it is the horrible service.
