My adjuster was extremely uninformed in traffic laws, uninterested in my side of things, EXTREMELY rude, horrible attitude, no communications until I got a hold of her supervisor multiple times, and when she returned my call finally, I swear her attitude was intolerable. My health benefit adjuster failed to communicate or return my emails for WEEKS on end, to let me know how to proceed for reimbursement claims. I would NOT recommend them. Extremely unprofessional and uninformed employees.

I am happy I was able to find this site which explains a lot about TD Insurance. So I created a claim five days ago. The adjuster never answers my phone calls and now I understand that this is standard practice for TD Insurance. As I understand it will be wasting time trying to contact TD so I am going to file a claim to "General Insurance OmbudService". Let's see if it works or not
Absolutely terrible experience with TD Insurance. I filed a claim for severe damage to my bumper and undercarriage of the car. I was driving down a dark road late at night (no streetlights) and as another car was about to pass me going the opposite direction. Just as the car passed I was struck by a moving object. I know with 100% certainty that it was a moving object as I saw something moving out of the corner of my eye just before the impact was made. I assumed it was an animal since we do have a lot of incidents like that on that particular road. TD insurance lied to me throughout the process, first telling me that the adjuster would likely be there to take pictures the next day. It ended up taking 4 days. During that time I was stuck paying for a rental car. TD insurance called me on the 4th day after the claim was reported to tell me that they were changing the comprehensive claim to an at-fault accident and claimed I hit a pothole or chunk of ice in the middle of the road. As I mentioned before, this was not possible as I could see in front of me the whole time and whatever hit my car was moving. A pothole would not cause front bumper damage and a piece of ice wouldn’t cause severe damage to the undercarriage of the car. On top of that, the bumper was damaged at the corner of the car providing that whatever struck my car was moving into the path of my car. Additionally, TD insurance tried to quote the claim based on used parts from a scrapyard. I will be cancelling me and my wife’s home and auto insurance immediately and we will never do any business whatsoever with TD as a whole. This company has no integrity and will try to screw you out of any money they can.
Here was the course of events: 1) Truck received minor fender bender (other persons fault) 2) Took it to TD insurance and was told that not only would the other party cover everything but that they would also cover a rental car while the truck is being fixed. I was given a date to bring the truck back (after parts had been delivered) 3) Brought truck back, was told upon arrival that the parts were not there and that I would have to bring my truck back later. They said they had left a message telling me that the day before. Checked phone, no missed calls, no message. 4) Brought truck back in. This time parts were present, but then they told me that I no longer had a rental car covered. This time I came with my 8-month pregnant wife. I told them that they told me this would be covered on my first visit. They checked in their system and this was written down that they told me this on my initial visit (proof...I call it). But they said "sorry" and that this had changed, and that TD was no longer able to give me a rental car. I was angry, obviously - said some things I don't regret. 6) I went home, again. 6) Then I called the manager, who sorted out the situation the next day. I came back the next day and received a rental car. So, what do we do with all of this? Let's go through the issues: I was told I was going to get a rental car, then they didn't deliver. They said "sorry", but not sorry enough to fix the problem they caused...
-10 stars if I could. I was in an accident a few years ago. The car was stopped for at least 5 seconds before being sideswiped. I just found out recently when getting another insurance for another car that TD claimed we were 100% at fault even though dashcam footage says otherwise. We were not told this. TD tried to write off the car for nothing. When we tried to drag on the case to receive more money for it, I guess they just decided we were at fault. Absolute scam of a company. No longer going to be banking with them either.
I have been with TD Insurance for over 10 years. I have involved in an accident in which a dump truck sideswiped my car on the left passenger side. I had filed a claim with TD Insurance. Even though the other driver was at fault, the claim adjuster took a month to get back to me and finalized my claim. The adjuster was terrible and she never answered my phone calls and replied to my emails. Two months after receiving emails and letters saying they have closed my claim, the adjuster sent me another letter saying I am at fault 50% without contacting me or explaining to me how they got to the conclusion. They did not even ask if I have any proof to show that I am not at fault. I called and emailed the adjuster and she never replied to it and just completely ignored me. I would never recommend TD Insurance for anyone and TD Insurance has the worst claim adjusters and they are all terrible.
I assigned three adjusters with TD car Insurance. They never answered the phone and didn`t reply at all even though I put so many messages. That means they are cheaters. I also called TD Insurance so many time and they only gave me adjusters' names and numbers. Still, they did nothing for me. Every day, my lunchtime I called them because I don't have a car to use. These days I use public transportation. More than ten days nobody answered me. Please stay away from TD Insurance.

TD is all about money-making, I cancelled my insurance after having it for 3 days. I am a first-time driver and did not know you had to pay cancellation fees, this was never notified to me from the beginning. After I called to cancel, the guy who cancelled just cancelled it and came back saying I had to pay $284. This guy was heartless, their customer service is horrible, I would never go back with them. It is still cheaper for me to pay them and leave cause I've gotten a better deal elsewhere. I'm not surprised that there are so many bad reviews about them.
I just got new car insurance from TD auto insurance Canada. I admit to missing one payment and was assured by the representative that my next payment would be deducted on the 21 of March. I put money down and waited for a notification from my bank for the deduction (which never came) I decided to call and let them know the situation. That representative was helpful even though he may have given me the wrong info. Another representative was helpful as well and did her job. However, another guy was the most awful supervisor and very rude. This guy made up his mind not to help out from the beginning. He listens to so many people and fails to understand each customer individually. He charged me the full amount of the insurance and told me there's nothing he can do. He told me to keep quiet whiles he spoke. Such awful awful customer service. Guys, I suggest trying another insurance. Please do not make the same mistake I made.
