I was in a passenger in a car accident and this was the insurance company I filed my claim with... I'm in so much pain everyday I had to quit a job that I loved very much. I rely on income replacement benefits now in place of my income from work. Which by the way is always late...sometimes as much as a month. And this has happened on several occasions. I don't think they relise how much this one thing has effected my life. I've had my phone disconnected, my credit rating has suffered I've even been given eviction notices over it. Not to mention they refuse to help with my prescription costs. I constantly have to choose between food medication or paying my bills. On several occasions I had to choose to pay my bills and suffer with drawl symptoms. Luckily I have a wonderful family physician who provides me with sample medication when he is able. I have always tried my best to get better, but it is difficult to achieve when you have no help. I hope I never have to deal with this insurance company

Long story short, a truck driver totaled my car. First, Jevco accused me of being at fault, even though the police deemed me not at fault and that the truck had blatantly caused the accident, which I had 3 witnesses and the police report to back up. Only until did I ask to speak to the supervisor did the story on their end change and all of a sudden I was absolved of any fault and then silence. I didn't hear from them for weeks, finally I get an offer on my totaled vehicle and it's nearly $3500 below fair market value. At this point I could accurately gauge what kind of shady company I'm dealing with.
If you're going to deal with Jevco/Intact, I recommend you know what an ombudsman is and having a lawyer on your side ready to fire off demand letters.
