long story short had car accident waited approx 4weeks for them to tell me that, then first adjuster contacts me then a week later starts the process of refund wait and wait nothing 3 weeks go by nothing even tried emailing her nothing email are bouncing back.I had to go through Aviva website to get someone to get back at me someone does she starts the process now since i only had so much money allocated for rental and now I'm over my limit they want me to return car . Why should I pay for their SCREW-UP
I wish I would have read reviews and researched the company prior to purchasing insurance from aviva. Read the consumer reviews. Its not just a couple of bad experiences with the company. Worst experience ever! Trust what the consumer reports say!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
A foolish driver ruined some shrubs and my fence one night.
Aviva doesn't want to pay. They hired a firm specialized in claims with so many questions with the sole purpose of not paying a dime.
Worst assurance company ever. STAY AWAY.
Had an accident 3 weeks ago. They pulled the car out from the auto shop where we first brought it after a week (no idea where they brought it) but since then, we never hear from them. Keep on calling the contact person but he's not picking up always on a voicemail. Left so many messages already, even sent emails and until now no reply from him. And they are saying that they have 24/7 CLAIM SERVICE SATISFACTION GUARANTEEE?? HOW?? We are so disappointed!
Dealing with Smart Coverage Insurance Brokers was one of the worst decision I ever made.
They were not bad to deal with when it was time to set up policy and everything was done on one call. The broker however lacked knowledge about auto insurance and neglected to point out a lot of critical information which would've impacted my decision.
When it came to cancelling the policy, I was given a very hard time. Twice I called and requested to speak with a manager and was advised that there's no manager in office who can take a call. I am glad I ended up cancelling policy as employees were very incompetent and would not trust them with my insurance and claims. I would not recommend them to anyone.
I had a question about my bill since it was my first payment to the company and the customer service rep in the billing department was extremely unhelpful. He kept referring me to my broker and wouldn't explain the bill to me. I pray to God I don't have to call these people again!
Thank you Aviva for NOT fixing the mechanical issues present in my vehicle immediately after receiving my car back from your partner garage. It's always a nice feeling getting back into a car after a fairly minor accident to the smell of burning plastic and noises from the engine bay. It's an even nicer feeling being told that they will not be covered by my insurance policy. I guess that's what I can expect my first claim in over 8 years with 3 vehicles insured. Time to shop for a new insurance company
Absolutely disgusted. I had my car broken into, smashed out the back window and stole my gym bag.
Total value- Window replaced was $720, Gab contents with make-up bag- $800.
Both car and home insurance with Aviva- but because they deem them separate claims, deductible had to be paid on both, $250 for car and $500 for home, so a total deductible of $750 for $1500 worth of stuff.....
When I asked around to other insurance companies, I was told that in this case with a double claim from a single incident, they 99% of the time charge you the higher of the two deductibles... this makes sense to me.
Also, the worst part was.... I made the claim and was told that an adjuster would contact me within 24-48 hours.... after at least 5 calls and over 2 weeks later I finally was able to talk to an adjuster who told me, my car claim has been processed but my bag claim has been denied as it is not covered through my car insurance and I have to submit a separate claim?????? I asked why I had not been contacted??? I lost it.... I told them I am aware they are different claims, but how can you not handle them both at the same time????? And why did all this go ahead without even having a conversation with me??
Absolutely useless insurance company and a rip off.... I have never in my life made a claim, but this company will not see another penny from me!! RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had a NOT AT FAULT collision in February when an idiot woman turned her SUV perpendicular to my lane with nowhere and no time for me to go anywhere else. I spoke with a guy who could barely speak ENGLISH at "Claims Pro" who eventually told me I was found not to be at fault and therefore my premium would not be affected. Got my renewal notice and payment schedule for the upcoming year and, surprise, surprise, an increase of MORE that 100%!! I am contacting my insurance broker tomorrow (which I believe is another middleman racket) to see if he can do anything other than make excuses. Bottom line: AVIVA SUCKS! I have also had my home and cottage coverage with them and that stinks too. They can say good-bye to my money!
Honestly, the worst and most deceptive company on the face of the Earth. Obviously, an insurance agent has to do whatever to benefit his company but they have handled my case in such a way that is disgusting and disrespectful. I personally feel like they will do anything to cut their costs even if it affects the consumer in their everyday life. They do not care whatsoever about the claimant and I feel like they are the most rude people that I have dealt with and would love to find a new company. Be careful and mindful on what company you go to and how they will treat at your own time of need.
