It's the worst company I ever dealt with, they're unavailable at all time, and they lie at all time.
I had an accident 2 weeks ago. No one reached out to me for the first 6 days. After they reached me, estimates and appraiser is missing. Car is lying at workshop where no one cares, in spite of multiple calls and reminders. No response yet. This is the worst customer experience you can imagine.
Worse customer service. The adjusters are not picking up their phone and not even calling back for any updates. You need to invest blood and sweat to contact them.
Three months ago, I was rear-ended at a yield sign in Mississauga. When I took my vehicle in for repairs, the insurance company insisted that I pay the deductible, despite the accident not being my fault. Then, they only agreed to pay half of the repair costs as quoted by the body shop. To make matters worse, I had a car seat and stroller in the vehicle at the time of the accident, and I’m still waiting for a replacement three months later.
My adjuster has been incredibly unprofessional and unreliable. For months, I've been asked the same questions repeatedly, and it takes her two weeks to respond to emails, if at all. I’ve had to call multiple times just to get basic updates. However, when it comes to collecting my monthly payments, they are always on time.
This company does not even deserve one star. Extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service.
Tried to reach nine (9) different numbers at both local agency and main service office. Waited between 7-12 minutes on EACH call, listening to the same message about how important my call was to them. Gave up in disgust. Cant understand how they can stay in business with such TERRIBLE customer service. DISGUSTING insult to customers.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Horrible experience. Once they have your money, that’s it, you can’t get anyone on the phone or email. Do not go with them. Also wasn’t offered accident forgiveness like with other companies, and my insurance went up seventy percent over a parking lot accident with no investigation done at all.
In just over a month, I have talked to 4 different agents who told me 4 different prices for the three vehicles that I own and share with my children. It’s absolutely outrageous that this can be happening. Not only are they telling me different prices, but they are also not honoring what they say. I’ve had no paperwork in over a month, the app info is always wrong and after having added a third car, they have just withdrawn $1405 for one month. My 18-year-old son is paying $4265, my daughter is paying $2800, and I am paying $2028. It’s robbery and I want out. It’s a total of $9100/year. It’s like having a second mortgage to drive. I can wait to find a new insurance company who knows what they’re doing.
Allstate recently renewed my insurance in July and raised the price by 1400$ for the year after a year of clean driving, no accidents or claims. I spoke to an agent to cancel my Allstate insurance before the month restart. The agent told me I will not be charged for the next month and should be getting funds back for the days I did not drive under the insurance Allstate. A week later they charged me full price "350" for the future month I attempted to call them and took about 30 minutes to start speaking to an agent. When I asked why my insurance price went up, they told me “it's because all insurance around the country went up". I asked to speak to a manager, and they told me that the manger would contact me 2-3 business day. The Allstate manager called me a week later and discuss why my price went up significantly. The manager tried finding every excuse in the book to why my insurance went up. The manager also told me there's nothing they can do for me and I will not be getting any of the 350$ I was charged for the future month and will not be getting a refund for the days I was not using them as an insurance. I've been with a little Insurance in the past and Allstate is by far the worse Insurance company and the customer service is abysmal. I would NEVER recommend anyone to ever use such a terrible company… Never use All state.
Waited for over an hour the first time I called in got hung up on by the rep, they called back 45 min later the time it took me to call back and remain on hold again. After I put my claim in went to the auto body shop a month later and my paperwork still had not been received by All State, I have now been sitting on hold for another hour just to ask them to send my paperwork over, again. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend All State Insurance at all!

I would never recommend Allstate insurance to anyone. My experience with them has been nothing short of frustrating and dishonest. Here’s why:
Unwarranted Charges: They charged me an additional 20% fee on my automobile insurance for a speeding ticket that had no demerit points attached to it. This was an unfair charge, and they should not have billed me for it.
Towing Refusal: When my car broke down, they refused to tow it, even though towing was supposed to be included in my policy. They suddenly claimed it only covered towing within 50 kilometers, but the rules kept changing based on their convenience. There was no consistency or transparency.
Terrible Customer Service: I tried reaching out to them for assistance, but each time I was passed around between departments. Each time I spent over 30 minutes on hold only to be told I was connected to the wrong department. Eventually, I was transferred to Allstate USA, where they told me they couldn’t find my policy number in their system, despite being told it should be accessible across all North America, including Canada. This suggests they may have taken my money without properly registering my policy. It feels like outright theft.
This treatment is disrespectful, and it’s clear to me that Allstate is not a trustworthy company. I strongly advise anyone to avoid them.
