Awful, awful, awful.

Rude, ignorant, unprofessional, unknowledgeable, unfriendly, unhelpful, unapproachable service representatives on the phone. Pay them more, train them to do a better job. Customer satisfaction matters. Canada Life- The worst insurance company ever.
I can’t express how frustrating it is to try to get information from this company! I can’t even get representatives to give me valid names or employee numbers so conversations can not be referenced and I’m always left trying to answer “who told you that “. Right now I’ve been in a queue on the phone for over 2 hours because my sign-in information mysteriously doesn’t work. I think a large part of their business model relies on frustrating the clients so much that they give up...
Hi, my Ltd claim is in progress and overall very much dissatisfied with their customer support. Overall response is very slow.
I had to just through hoops but I didn't even get reimbursed for my orthotics when my plan said they would be covered...
When my mother passed away from ALS, Canada Life was very easy to deal with and accommodating. They worked with my brother and me to get an advanced payment based on her diagnoses and the expected time left. She ended up passing away before we received advanced payment but Jeff was very easy to work with in getting us the full payment instead of the advanced payment when the time came.
I have left several messages with an agent to call me back. I have a time-sensitive issue. Just need an answer to a simple question.
This insurance is expensive compared to other life insurance. We bought ours and when a broker came to us we were very upset that the Canada Life agent gave us pay for life and that the premium is very expensive compared to if we buy from other life insurance companies. It was more than 10 years since we were paying and our cash value was only $600 ( this is for ten years in contribution)! We transferred already. We also learned from other friends that they also have the same worse experience as us with Canada Life.
Th yet we're very nice and helped me throughout and they paid the life insurance within a month...I would recommend this company
Thinking of getting a life insurance quote from an insurance agent? They work for one insurance company and can only sell the products of that company. That may not result in the best rate for you. Our insurance brokers compare life insurance quotes across 20+ Canadian insurers for you.
My insurance broker offered me both Sun Life and Canada Life's term life policies which were the cheapest for my age and health condition - they would cost nearly the same. I decided to go with Sun Life since I already have my critical illness with them. But I think Canada Life was quite ok as well and the price was good.

Let's take it from the top.
Their staff are super unhelpful and have virtually no knowledge of their own services and assistance.
Their app is archaic at best and often refers you back to the website.
The website only offers PAPER MAIL SUBMISSIONS for the most common claims, in 2021! Absolutely absurd.
To save or use the claim PDFs, you need to contact their customer service for an administrative password before you can fill it out on your computer! Who does that?!
My employer decided to go with Canada Life for our insurance and benefits this year and everyone is so miserable about it. I've been working for nearly 30 years with my fair share of benefits coverage and Canada Life is easily, EASILY the worst I've ever experienced.
