I have had 3 claims with Unica, all of which were incredible experiences. They handled everything very quickly and professionally.
I've now had 2 claims experiences with Unica. Both claims I was considered not at fault. Both claims were the worst claims experience in my life. Extremely disorganized. Staff not well trained. Very difficult to get a hold of your claim adjuster. They have very few appraisers. Who are terrible at keeping appointments they've made with you. Don't be fooled by their low premium rates. It's because you have to spend hours pushing the claim forward yourself. STAY AWAY.

Anybody here posting 5 stars bashing the people telling the truth about this sad company are paid by business to review their company to look better for marketing. I dealt with an employee, who apparently no longer works there, in regards to receiving compensation for my totalled car, in which I was given a bunch of circles and lies and after over 2 years they still can't tell me where my car is and why they moved it WITHOUT my consent halfway across the province to be told they're no longer covering the damages and I'm responsible for the towing and storage fees for the lot. THEY stole my car and moved it too. After countless emails and phone calls, you're only given another hundred more circles to go around being told nobody knows how to help your situation and they'll transfer you to someone else that can't help. You ask for a supervisor/manager and they never pick up. It's a complete shame a company like this is still in business. Not everybody in a car accident is a fraud, and they sure try and make you feel like one. My car flipped 3 times on the 401 and their "examination specialists" told me all I need is driving therapy and I'm good to go. Something needs to be done about these crooks.
You get what you pay for! Tell you one thing and then find out that they never said that, your word against theirs. Very poor quality of management, no one ever calls you back!
I was in an accident and had more than $5,000 damage to my car. Unica had it repaired quickly and my adjuster walked me through all the details and returned my call quickly. A big help!
I was involved in a car accident. It took them a week to approve the repair estimate. The adjuster was very condescending and suggested that If I would have gone to one of their recommended repair facilities rather than the dealer (where we have been a satisfied customer for 20 years), then it would have been a quicker experience. This company is a joke...shopping for a new insurance company and will find every opportunity to advise others to avoid this company.
Service on a scale of 1 being the worst I give them 1. Their brokers are Hub international, notice I said their brokers not yours.
Been there. not a good experience, "they don't interact with the public" really. I asked to speak to accounts. Ms. Attitude told me to hold and put me onto a fax line. If you are a seeking insurance for the first time, it can be difficult. Be patient look around do not grab at the first company that says yes. I got caught their service was horrendous .

everyone was quoting me really high because i was only 25 and the car was a 65000 mercedes c350, and unica was the only one whogave me the best coverage at a decent price
