I am NOT CONNECTED in any way to Desjardins, it's employees nor do I have any financial interest in them.
Over the years I have dealt with dozens of insurers. None as good as Desjardins.
They are knowledgeable, fair, thorough and customer-oriented.
During Covid, they reduced my car insurance rates TWICE because I wasn't driving as much. In addition, they increased my homeowner policy coverage with NO additional charge while I was talking with them. THEY VOLUNTARILY did this with NO prodding from me.
I ALWAYS review my coverage and check competitors' rates, and they are always amongst the best value.
People I have recommended to ALWAYS state how fair and quick they were during the claim process.

I am a single senior who suffered a bad flood in September from my second-floor laundry. I was absolutely beside myself when I called Desjardin in a panic. The first two ladies I spoke with were so reassuring and understanding, I felt immediate relief. Within two hours of my call, a team arrived to clean up, take down damaged ceilings, check my electrics, and install hot air blowers to dry out the house. I had been with Desjardins for only two years. Before that, I had 23 years of trouble with another insurer, who never allowed a claim, argued about who lived with me, and charged a lot more every year. Thanks to Dejardins, my little house was fixed quickly, and my latest annual invoice is still less than the previous insurer had. I'm one happy old lady. Nothing but good things to say about Desjardin's home insurance.

I had water damage at home. I called them the same day and they immediately sent a company specialized in that field (literally 1 hour after calling). They evaluated the damages in the house and sent a report to the insurance. They told us one week later how everything will be done to repair the damages. It didn't take long for them to repair everything (maybe 1 or two months). They also sent pretty skilled companies to do the repair and everything is as good as new. They even gave us the same amount of money as the value of any destroyed objects. I strongly recommend Desjardins Insurance.
