20 years claim-free. A big storm blew in and demolished one of our buildings. First, they say - no problem we had lots of coverage and that if we made the claim our insurance would go up (high premiums to begin with). Well, we expected that. The next week, when they never told us when an adjuster was supposed to come it was then they told us we weren't covered! Cancelled them! Went somewhere else!
I have been trying for 2 weeks to talk to the insurance adjuster. I have had a water leak and they will not return my call. I would recommend you get your insurance with a different company!
I'm dealing with a fire in a unit below me - so smoke damage is not my fault - my insurance adjuster is making it seem like staying in a hotel is a vacation for me and I should be grateful. they didn't even pay for a 3 star hotel. is grungy and I want to be back in my own bed. he is rude and will ignore my calls and emails. awful service. I will be trying to get out of my insurance contract and find someone new.
Poor customer service. They put the blame on you. They take your money for years and years and when you have a small claim they deny you before you even have a chance to figure out how your items got damaged. No interest in helping you at all. Robbers!!
They were quick to take my money. Then in the month's following started requesting me to fill out more forms, send more pictures, fill out questionnaires and billed me for more money. From all the paperwork I was filling out, and the answers from the questions I was asking I was learning that Gore was only looking out for there own interests. I eventually cancelled both policies due to the fact that they went against the Tenancy Act in there lack of coverage. I could only imagine if I was to actually have a claim with Gore. Gore, they only insure themselves !
So we have a leak in the copper piping in the basement under the water heater. We find out now that our city has put an additive in our water is its eroding the older copper pipes. Nothing has leaked through yet. However regardless of the reasoning of why the pipes leaked. Regardless of the reason for the leaking pipes, we find out the Gore mutual does not cover this in any way. If your basement floods out they will cover damaged items but not the work to fix the problem. Seriously? So now from my understanding, we have to have the floor jackhammered up, the piping replaced at our own cost. This is in the thousands. Other insurance policies cover this. Shame on you Gore Mutual. This is critical stuff.
