After being told by TD they would not renew our policy after 18 years of doing business cause of one accident and two minor tickets , I had to find new insurance .
When I contacted TD to inform them of the date we would no longer require their businesss first I was on hold for over 30 minutes then it took 30 minutes of dealing with a very disrespectful representative.
We will be cancelling ALL our dealings with TD including bank accounts and moving all our investment accounts
TD has NO loyalty to their customers
If you are trying to pay by phone, at least, you need to spend a half day on the line.
I was waiting for over 2 hours on the phone to speak to the person.
Attitude to the customer is very bad. please do not call them you might lose your half day.

18 years with TD paid for accident forgiveness , wife had one accident ( First claim on our policy ever) accident was her fault got a minor ticket , had a minor speeding ticket the year before
They will now not renew our policy
Cause of TD we now have to start over and our rates have sky rocketed.

POOR customer service, wait times are beyond excessive. Very rude once you finally connect with them.
On the phone for over an hour waiting for an answer. Fed up, I just hung up and called CIBC. They answered within the minute and my quote was $160 less per month then what TD was charging me. Do not go with TD, you WILL regret it

I've been with TD insurance for 3 years, no accidents, no claims. They gave me 1-week notice and then cancelled my auto ins. policy. I was explained that I got 2 tickets for past 3 years and that is the reason why they could not renew it, even though I had upgraded my license to G full. Awful company, would not recommend TD to anyone else.
Horrible experience. I wanted to pay in full for my insurance. So the company claimed they could not give me my policy till the money comes through. I paid them and 10 days later still no call back from them after calling multiple times throughout the week only to find out that they have apparently "rejected" the money and that it should be back in my bank account which it was not. I had to call my bank and they said they have nothing from TD insurance and that this actually happens quite often with TD insurance claiming they have returned the money. Now the bank is making an investigation into this company in order to get the $2,500 back from them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
I have had the worst experience with TD I have been a loyal customer for years. I have never had an insurance company like them, they have no sense of integrity and when I asked to make a payment from when I fell sick and ALMOST lost my LIFE !!! They were ignorant and wouldn't settle with me. They wanted me to pay 2000$ when I still have registered insurance right as I write this. I would never go to them, ignorant and zero concern for their customers
I have 4 vehicles, UTV, and home insurance with TD for the past 15 years. No Claims, and my reward? An 11.6% premium increase for 2016. Will be shopping around.
I had an accident due to extreme weather conditions on December 11th. Phoned in a claim and was transferred to an extremely rude insurance adjuster. He was overbearing and abrasive. It's ironic that they send out emails with the header "We're here to help" because my experience has been the complete opposite. My claim is still under investigation and I have not heard a word from anyone at TD Insurance on the status. It's gotten to the point where I can no longer speak to this person because of his rudeness. It's unsettling! There are way better insurance companies to do business with.
