Terrible Customer Support

I needed to get a letter of experience and it ended up taking 2 whole weeks to get. The first time I called they said they would get it back to me in 1-2 days. After 4 days I called again and they said they had no record of it but they would try again and it would be 1-2 days. Again after 4 days, I called and they still had no record of it.

They make it extremely difficult in contacting personnel. Extremely poor and disrespectful customer service. Nobody asked me the reason I quit Intact insurance.
It seems they don't care...

Very positive experience!

I’ve had a great experience working with these brokers. My husband had been with them for several years before he passed way. Rep assisted me in obtaining my own insurance & found the best rates. He was dedicated to helping me & corresponded regularly after I purchased my car. He helped walk me through every detail needed. I will forever be grateful for all his help, none of this could’ve been done without him. Thank you!

Bad experience

I had a very bad experience with Intact Insurance. They do not listen to their clients and their communication is terrible. I tried contacting them multiple times, left voicemails, and still received no response. The lack of professionalism and support caused me a lot of unnecessary stress. I regret choosing this company for my insurance needs. I do not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service.

Intact Unprofessionalism

My car got hit and was a write-off (not at fault) They have a police where 2 days after they give you the offer to settle you have to return the rental car.
When I was given the offer to settle the accident, I told them I'd talk to my wife and get back to them. So I called them back and didn't get an answer and left a message (Wednesday). Thursday came around and I left another message. Friday I left another message and at this point now the car is do back before 5, and without a response from them, I can't do anything or move forward with a new car because I can't get a hold of them. So I would be without a car for the weekend and would have to forfeit my weekend plans (cottage) So I kept the rental till Monday, сalled and left another message, no reply, so I then tried to switch adjusters, they tried calling my first one and couldn't contact her either. Finally, on Tuesday I got a call back, and now I owe $124 for the rental. Even though my adjuster disappeared for four business days and couldn't let me move forward with a new car, they still won't cover the car rental, and not a single person even apologized for my adjuster going missing for four days, leaving my in limbo.
Very unprofessional, let me know you'll be out of office, cover the $124 for screwing me over, even an apology would have been nice. But no, they just kept repeating “you only get two days with the rental after offer”.

Pitiful Processing Time

Had a total write-off over 6 months ago and still haven't been paid. Completely incompetent. Have had to pay out of pocket for a replacement and still haven't seen any money. Avoid at all costs.

The worst company

They tell you that they are going to collect the payment on a date and they collect it before and then they penalize you for not paying. Customer service is not responding. Please stay away from this company.

I switched to Intact from another insurance company and the representative was very effective

I talked to a represantative and she was very knowledgeable and patient during the whole process. Although, Intact's price could've been better but it was still lesser than what my current car insurance company was offering.

Highway collision

After having a collision on the highway with over $15000 in damage to my vehicle it was considered a total write off. And my experience with my Insurance Company Intact was excellent. The staff was very helpful in every respect. I recommend this company. And I will definitely stay with them.
