I have been trying to contact my insurance agent Khalid since July 6. I have left numerous voicemails, and emails and even have had my insurance broker reach out and heard nothing. I have wasted countless hours on hold with Economical's customer service line only to be told everyone is in meetings and they can’t give me any information and will have someone call me by end of the day.
This is the worst experience I have ever had and I highly DO NOT recommend it.
My car was supposed to be fixed within 4-5 days and am going on day 31.
Absolutely horrific experience.
The insurance has assigned an adjuster that set up the claim and processed it in about 2 weeks. I drop off the car for repair yesterday. Verbally adjuster had told me to find an electric car rental and they will cover the rental as we are not at fault. Now he changed his mind and has only auth $82 for rent a car. Tesla rentals are starting at $199 and it has to be out of pocket.

My truck and dual axles trailers got totalled, and they offered my trailer for 300 ( three hundred ), what's a rip-off company. The adjuster is working hard for their $$$, and I would not deal with them again.
My truck was stolen 3 weeks ago and I called it in. A week later I called the police file number. A week after that my truck was found. 2 weeks since it was first stolen and I had heard nothing from the company. I call back and say it was recovered and they once again said someone will get ahold of me. 2 days later I called in again and finally got the ball rolling to get my truck inspected and back. A week after and I just find out my truck is still in the impound. It's been 3 weeks since the first stolen and in no way have the insurance company tried to contact me. You will waste your money going through this company, find elsewhere.
Long-time customer for 15+ years. Stayed with the company even when other rates were lower based on the mistaken belief that this was a company that could be counted on if an accident occurred. Just had my first claim ever. The adjuster claims the vehicle was a total write-off and worthless even though the resale value on used vehicles has jumped in price. The company was unwilling to even listen to logic and tried to strong-arm into agreeing to a below-market value for the vehicle. Very disappointing experience, zero concern or loyalty to a long-term customer.

I put a claim through Economical, they are the most incompetent people ever. The adjuster that we dealt with wanted us to do all the work. On top of that, he told us that everything would be covered and to expect a cheque in the mail. However, not the case at all. Lead us to believe all along that the claim would be covered, only to find out, that it wasn't. please read below--
"Upon review, the appraisers have discovered that the damage of the vehicle is not an insurable loss. This is not flood damage nor impact damage.
The water leak appears to be a mechanical failure around the windshield.
Unfortunately, you are not eligible to claim this type of damage"
Total incompetence on their part, I will never deal with them again.
Economical Insurance is the worst insurance I have ever seen. Someone hit my car at the rear bumper mid of 2021 and up to now, they have never fixed my car. The adjuster never calls or reply emails or messages it’s 10 months and no response. Anyone insured with Economical Insurance should think twice and trice to find a better insurance company.
I had someone hit me and it was a hit and run and they never got back to me even the OPP or police don't give anything been waiting for a police report for over a month! The insurance industry is a big SCAM! All they do is take your money!
On November 1, 2021, I had an accident. It may have been my fault, or maybe not. No one came out to check the accident site, and the curb I hit was never checked. At the very least said curb should have been flagged as it was unfinished and jagged at the end. There was so much unprofessionalism that occurred I wouldn't have the space or time to record all of it. My experience with this company finally came to closure the first week of May, 7 mos. for a small, simple, and easy claim. My agent at Drayton Insurance was the only one who did her best to see my needs were met. However, this was to no avail and I had to follow up on everything. This included speaking with claims managers, economical managers as well as the Insurance Ombudsman. Days and weeks went by before I would get a response from someone. I would give my concerns only to wait again for another professional to respond. There were adjusters who claimed to have contacted the body shop and a car rental company. With my follow up I found this was not the case. There was so much more neglect, dishonesty, and unprofessionalism that happened during those months that I'm left feeling very uncertain, and unprotected in the event of another incident. I'm still dealing with the stress that Economical's lack of customer service and informed ability has caused me and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
My experience from day one has been HORRIBLE. The intake person was extremely rude, which didn't set a great tone to start with. My accident (not at fault) was on May 3rd. I am writing this review on July 27, 2022. I STILL do not have my vehicle. Keep in mind there were supply chain issues. My car has now been ready since July 21, 2022. After leaving several messages and sending several emails, I still don't have my car. All this because they haven't removed my deductible and haven't finished deciding about covering my battery. My car isn't even two years old. Simple paperwork that isn't being handled in a timely fashion.
When leaving a voicemail, you are told that you will receive a response within 2 business days - NOT THE CASE. I haven't received a call back from message I left on 07/20/22. This is on top of several emails from my broker and the repair shop. I am so grateful for my broker! She has had to escalate this with a supervisor for the SECOND time. The first escalation with a supervisor resulted in ZERO contact. As of today, I await their call. Let's keep adding days on to my rental...
The stress of this mess is NOT worth it! Seriously, do NOT use them as your insurance company. The LACK of care about their customers and their lack of response is mindboggling.
